Naomi's review:
I've turned into a diaper snob. I was once one of those moms who said "I prefer solid color diapers. I can match them to every item of clothing." But alas, my mind has changed. I love showing people my daughter's cute fluffy printed bum. And 123 Cloth Me allows me to do just that. Although the diaper is small compared to other one-size diapers, it works great for my petite daughter. She can fit in this diaper on the medium setting. Not bad for a 22-month-old. The only not-so-great thing I can say about the diaper is that the insert is too bulky. Once I replaced it with one of the extra inserts I had, I was more than pleased with the diaper. It fits well. It's a good quality diaper. For my daughter's custom, I picked a Winnie the Pooh print, which Laura matched perfectly with a white PUL. My now 4-year-old son's lovey was a stuffed Pooh Bear, so this print was special to us. And I was glad that she made the diaper look so amazing. We may have to keep this diaper even after my daughter potty trains. She can cloth diaper her dolls. ;-) My suggestions to make this diaper better? Make the insert less bulky and add hip snaps. Besides that, I love the design of this diaper.

I mean, look at how cute this print is!

I don't even know how to describe the elastic, but I like it!

Jodi:

When searching for up-and-coming WAHM diaper makers, I came across a little facebook page called “123 Cloth Me”. I perused the photo albums and really loved the fabrics I saw, so I contacted Laura Behm, the lovely lady behind 123 Cloth Me. Before I had even received a diaper, I was so impressed with how professional and how nice Laura was... this was definitely a WAHM I wanted to do business with!

The 123 Cloth Me Diaper on my 2 year old!

The Same diaper on my almost 3 month old, 13 lber!

123 Cloth Me pocket diaper fits babies approximately 10-40lbs. The outer of the diaper I received was made from the most adorable forest animal print corduroy. Corduroy! I was finally going to be able to scratch off one of my “I want a diaper made of ..” list. Who doesn’t love corduroy?! And on an adorable diaper?! I was so excited! We placed an order for our diapers, and within a week or so, we had the diapers on hand! This mama works fast! And the quality of her diapers ARE NOT compromised by the quickness of her handiwork. The diaper arrived, and my first impression was how well made it appeared. Even stitching, nice elastic, no cosmetic flaws could be found. The inner is an off white panne, which has a stay dry quality to it, which I look for when I’m choosing a diaper. The insert is made of 5 layers of microfiber. I was initially worried about how wide the insert was, but once it was stuffed in the pocket and on the hiney, I found it to be just fine for the build of my daughter.

The diaper was laundered, and survived the initial wash beautifully. My 26 lbs girl is on the largest rise setting and two size snap settings in. The snaps are set at a good space, I was able to get a tight enough fit so there was no gapping across her tummy, and without leaving any red marks once the diaper was removed. The elastic around the legs was also nice and tight, but without leaving red marks. Hooray! I let the “maiden voyage” of the diaper go for a good 2.5 hour stretch. While my girl is not a heavy wetter, I will normally change her every hour to hour and a half just to keep her dry.
I have also been able to use the same diaper on my 3 month old (13lbs) and was able to achieve another beautiful fit on her as well!I was pleasantly surprised at how much the diaper held. The inner panne definitely did its job at keeping her skin dry while pulling the moisture through to the insert. The diaper has no leaked or wicked on us, and has held up in the wash. so I’m calling 123 Cloth Me diapers a WIN.

Stacy's review
123  Cloth Me really is a lovely diaper. I love her use of fabrics and how she puts them together. She was worked quickly and produced quality diapers that fit my skinny boy fabulously!
Bang for your buck?
YES! I can say that I would defiantly buy more diapers from 123 Cloth Me. For $16 you get a very nicely constructed diaper. You can add an insert for $1.

Nice fit on his thin little frame

Fit:
I like the fit on my little guy, the snap placement is perfect to insure a snug fit. He is 30 inches tall and the diaper is snapped down once, so I am sure he will wear this diaper until he is potty trained. I love that the legs are tight enough to ensure not leaks or blowouts but not so tight that there are any red marks on his little thighs. We do get a slight wing droop but we often do because of his super thin thighs. The droop was so minimal that I really don't see it as an issue, but felt that I do need to mention it. He wears this diaper every time it is clean, even in a large rotation this diaper is getting a workout!

Bum shot...I really love this print!

Performance:
I trust 123 Cloth Me diaper for a three hour nap. I also used this diaper through a bout of antibiotic stomach issues with no blowouts. I have not had one leak with this diaper, which is wonderful.
Cons:
The insert is bulky since it is turned and topstitched. I do use 123 Cloth Me insert when at home but when I want to put jeans on him, I have to put different insert in the diaper.

Love how this diaper fit him! Moves with him with no gaps.

To buy:
Laura was a dream to work with, and she’s so very accommodating.. her skills will speak for themselves as will the diapers. You can find her on facebook at http://www.facebook.com/123ClothMe, and on Hyena Cart at http://hyenacart.com/123ClothMe/, where she also offers some beautiful crocheted items.\

I am, like most cloth diaper mamas, part of cloth diapering groups on Facebook. Many of us are there for the chit-chat and the b/s/t, but I love to discover the diaper making mamas that are also part of the groups. One such Mama that I came across was Linden Barr, of Little Rowan Tree Diapers. I saw photos she posted on the group wall, and was interested in trying them on my daughter.

I placed an order from Linden for two pocket diapers. The first diaper constructed of a vibrant striped cotton outer, a hidden layer of PUL and a buttery-soft suede cloth inner. The diaper has the cutest double row of ruffles across the bum, thrilling the hidden “girly-girl” I might be deep down. It looks SO cute on her hiney and is to die for adorable under a little jean dress. Little Rowan Tree Diapers have a PUL layer on leg gussets to prevent wicking, which i found to be a great addition. The pattern itself was OS, and is on the larger OS side, which is perfect for babies with a shorter/wider build like my daughter.

Linden has a keen eye for design. Her snap color combinations and awesome fabric choices make that apparent. She is dedicated to tweaking and reworking patterns to ensure the diapers that she creates make the mamas that order them, and the babies that wear them happy. Her turn around time is fantastic, and her diapers are fairly priced.
Please stop by and give Linden a “like” and tell her Bottom of the Sixth sent you! Referrals to her page from Bottom of the Sixth can enjoy  $2 off any of her in current stock diapers on her facebook page!

 Sunbaby Diapers
Review and giveaway!

Naomi's review:
When I first discovered Sunbaby diapers, they were only in the first revision. Since then, the diaper's creator has revised the diaper three times. And each revision has worked great for us. But her best diapers thus far are the 4.0s. The 4.0 has hip snap to keep the diapers from getting that pesky wing droop. And just recently, she has started making the 4.0 a little bigger.
These diapers are trim, soft, cute and affordable. And there are always cute new prints available, as well as the classic solid colors.
The inserts are nice and long, and these diapers are my "out running errands" diapers. I know I can trust them not to leak.
I love that the creator of these diapers is all about customer service. She thrives on feedback and loves to find ways to make her diapers even better. And that she has. The fourth revision, the 4.0, was given longer elastic and then eventually the made a little bigger.

Sunbaby Web site: www.sunbabydiapers.com

Jodi's review:
From the moment I began to consider using cloth diapers, everyone was reccomending I look in to trying a “Sunbaby” diaper. And, from the moment I finally did try a Sunbaby, I have been nothing but pleased with the decision.  I appreciate the cost of them, the ever-changing line up of exclusive prints offered, the dedication of the woman behind the product and, of course, the diaper itself. I have been able to pay less than $5 a diaper that I am able to use on my 2-month-old AND my 23- month-old. The wait time for the diapers from placing an order to landing on my doorstep has been less than ideal, but it has not (and likely will not) keep me from going back and ordering at least one new one when the prints are introduced.
I was very pleased to see that the new print line up in August were made slightly larger than the previous set. As my oldest girl gets bigger, I was afraid of her not being able to wear the Sunbaby diapers for much longer (at least until she potty trains) because she was finally on the last snap.. but to my delight, she has moved in a snap on the newest sunbabys, enabling me to still use the same diapers on my 12 lber and my 26 lber.

Newest version on smallest setting on my newborn and the same diaper on the largest setting on my older daughter.

Stacy's review:
It took a little bit of convincing before I would try Sunbaby diapers. I thought that there was no way such an affordable diaper could be quality. I bought his first Sunbaby used from a local mama, and loved it! Since then I have acquired several more from each release as they became available.
My favorite print thus far!

Quality/cost:
Inexpensive does not equal poor quality in this case. I really wish I would have known that from the first day I decided to use cloth. I have had several different brands of diapers and must say that I love my Sunbaby diapers as much or more than some of my $20 diapers. I have nothing but good things to say about the quality of materials used to construct these diapers. Isn't saving money what attracts most mamas to cloth to begin with? I now suggest for newbies to build their initial stash by buying Sunbaby diapers.
I love that the newest prints run slightly larger. He is 30 inches and 21.5 lbs

Fit:
I have several of the older 4.0 diapers; they fit my thin baby boy really well. That being said I am so pleased that the newly released diapers are cut a little larger. My little guy is now 21 lbs and 30 inches. So we were moving up to the tallest setting on the rise, but no more! You know what that means? He can wear all of these awesome prints until he potty trains and I could not be happier! I love that the legs fit so well. His skinny little legs have no gaps around them in his Sunbaby diapers. Nor does he get red marks from the elastics.

A great fit on his not so chubby legs.

Performance:
I can sum it up in one word....lovely! My little monster has worn a sunbaby for nap and road trips with no leaks or issues at all. With our busy lifestyle, I have left a diaper on a little longer than I like to admit (like about 3 hrs) and his clothing would still be dry. Like I said, I love the performance of this diaper as much or more than my $20 diapers.
Some of my sunbaby stash

Print options:
Are you joking me? I am in cloth diaper heaven...There is an amazing amount of Sunbaby prints floating around out there. The mama behind Sunbaby releases new prints often. I love this because I can have such a variety in my stash while buying a diaper that I trust.
Cons:
Only one- if you buy a large amount of diapers at one time (like in a co-op), it can take weeks for you to get your diapers. This is not a reflection on the mama behind Sunbaby as she is fairly quick at sending package out, depending on work load. The extended delivery time is due to how our postal service handles large non-priority packages. Shipping is free so I can not complain too much.

3 Little Birds Stitch Co Review and Giveaway!
Jodi's other obsession
(ends 10/24/11 at 11:59pm CST)
I have a secret. I used to be addicted to the website Etsy. I would spend far too much time scouring the site, drooling over all the pretties that were available. One day I stumbled upon a little Etsy shop called "3 Little Birds Stitch Co." The lovely lady behind the shop was Felicia Laurenete. She features adorable dresses made with upcycled t-shirts. She also hand stamps/paints details on the fabrics adding just the right finishing touches. My first purchase from her was a "Little Miss Sunshine" dress that my baby girl rocked at her first birthday party.
My little sunshine!

It only took that one purchase.. I was hooked! Felicia is an absolute DOLL to work with. She's got incredible sewing skills but she's not just a seamstress.. she's an artist. I purchased a few of her in stock items, one of my favorite being a dress featuring an owl and to-die-for striped sleeves. She wore the dress until it became a shirt and then sadly the day came when I couldn't squeeze her in it any longer.
The dress that she wore until it became a shirt :)

After purchasing ready-made dresses, I wanted to try her on a custom. I looked through her album of shirts available for customs and nearly DIED when I ran across an Audrey Hepburn shirt. I promptly placed an order for a dress with it, plus another with a to-die-for cupcake shirt.

I wish this fit ME!!
Cupcakes with sunglasses, anyone?
I love everything Felicia has made for us, but my very favorite was a lovely peasant style dress that she made out of one of my favorite tshirts. I sent her the shirt, and with very little input from me, she created this gorgeous article:

My latest purchase is a special dress out of another one of my girl's shirts that will make her 2nd birthday so special. I present to you The Brobee Dress:
I have never been disappointed with any of the work that Felicia has done for me. I will add that all of the dresses I have purchased have been created in a way so they can be worn for a very long time. My girl can still wear all of the dresses, with the exception of the peace owl, and we have owned them all for well over a year. There is a reason I keep going back for custom work from her. She could not be any sweeter, her work could not be any more fabulous, her prices any more reasonable or her turnaround time any faster. If you are looking for a special outfit for your girl, you might give Felicia a chance to impress you as she has me. She also makes adorable hair bows and clips and AWESOME tooth fairy pillows (that I have yet to order, but will eventually!!). She also offers upcycled scarves and custom embroidered wood plaques! So many fun and unique items, you just have to see them for yourself!
