LetJoy diaper review and giveaway!
One awesome little diaper....
Jodi's review:
There is really nothing better than a well constructed diaper that actually does its job. I am definitely putting LetJoy diapers in that category. Her pocket diapers are sized, and my girl (27 lbs) fits quite nicely in a large with room to grow. The pocket has a sunny yellow suede cloth inner, with hidden PUL and coordinating cotton prints on the outside. (THE MOST ADORABLE ANIMAL PRINT EVER, might I add..) LetJoy diapers have all the "pros" you might be looking for in an affordable WAHM diaper. Quality fabrics, impeccable construction, nice elastics, NO LEAKING.. They also have very professional "LetJoy" tags, and they arrive beautifully packaged.

I love her tags!

Nice fit across the tummy and on the legs.

Now, tell me that is not the most adorable print ever?

Leticia (the mama behind the diapers) has great taste in fabrics, and in always striving to better her products. I recently bought a pack of her cloth wipes and I am LOVING them. Generously sized, two-ply flannel wipes in an adorable print. You should most definitely check out her etsy store AND her facebook page!

Naomi:
One of my very favorite fitteds is the LetJoy fitted made by Leticia. I chose the chili peppers print because, well, my daughter is a little "spicy." LOL It suits her.
I LOVE this fitted. It fits her great. It's adorable. And Leticia went above and beyond to make a custom diaper for my daughter. The diaper is made of two layers of flannel, and the insert has two layers of microfiber and a small one sewn on top of that (made up of two layers of cotton/hemp jersey) and placed in the back (for my girl). The inside is a nice bright yellow, and Leticia included a soft red fleece liner.

Photobucket
This diaper is beautiful. ;-)

The velcro tabs have yellow thread around them. It adds a nice visual touch to the diaper. You can tell she put a lot of thought into her diapers. It's well made and beautiful. I love everything about it!

Photobucket
The fit is great! Love it!

Stacy:
Again, I found WAHM love when we ordered from Letjoy. Leticia is so easy to work with and did a bang up job when there was a problem. I was so impressed with all aspects of her business.
Bang for your buck?
$15 for a great custom pocket diaper. Need I say more? Ok, so I will anyway. I fully believe that you pay for customer service too and her service is top notch, in my opinion. I got a cute, well constructed diaper that fits well and works as well as any brand diaper I have had in my stash.

Fit:
I usually go for a OS diaper but Letjoy has made me love a size diaper again. I love that the fit is perfect for my little guy. He is a skinny boy with a barely there bum, skinny legs and a kinda long rise. I love that her diaper fit him so well. When I saw how it fit the other two babies above then I was really impress. Three different body types with equally wonderful fit.
Performance:
A+ perfection in my book. We did not have leak or wicking in this diaper. Well....only one leak but that was when he had the worse case of antibiotic stomach ever! I don't think there would have been much that would have held what he was dishing out that day.

Pros:
Generous insert
Well crafted
Great fit
Nice packaging for professional feel
When I contacted Leticia with an issue with snaps, she was more than willing to fix the problem with no hesitation. Can I say that I LOVE GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE! She has isolated the issue and I am confident that it is resolved.
Cons:
I would love to see more prints offered, but I am pretty sure that will come in time.
Do you want to buy one for your little one?
Go check her facebook page http://www.facebook.com/letjoyclothdiapers
I would share all that she offers but really want you to check them out, there will be questions later.
Want to win one?
Well, you are in luck!
There will be a surprise print diaper up for grabs!
So let's get this party started.

Blossoms & Bugs: Adorable appliques on comfy fleece longies

Photobucket

Naomi:
My new love for fitteds means that I need something to put over these fitteds. And why not cover them with some cute fleece longies?
I've always been a fan of sunflowers. So I decided that my daughter must have a sunflower on her bum. ;-)
I met Desiree of Blossoms & Blugs on the WAHM Shop on facebook. She is super nice and aims to please. She made my daughter the most adorable fleece longies with a sunflower applique on the bottom. The fleece is a nice thick, soft fleece. They not only look great, but they have an amazing fit. We have received lots of compliments on these longies while out and about.
I really don't have a single complaint or suggestion. Desiree did a great job! They look so comfortable, that I am a little jealous. I want some comfy fleece pants for myself. ;-)

Uploaded from the Photobucket iPhone App
Don't they look comfy?

Uploaded from the Photobucket iPhone App
I absolutely LOVE the applique. So cute!
Jodi:
I keep hearing people all over the internet in the cloth diaper world calling fleece "the poor man's wool." It's true that its much more affordable than wool, but I don't find that it is any less effective as a cover for fitted diapers. I love love love love using fleece. I am so happy with the longies that I received from Blossom & Bugs. They are constructed to withstand the wear and tear of my 2-year-old, and that is something I can appreciate! They are adorable on her, and they look so comfortable.. I wish they were mine!
How cute!!

Mushroom appliqued on the back. ADORABLE!

BoogaButt Diapers - Putting cute butts in cute prints, one diaper at a time..

Jodi review:
I have had the pleasure of owning two diapers from Marie of BoogaButts. The first was a newborn tester diaper that was beautifully constructed. It was a very thirsty AI2, complete with a snap in soaker and a hidden layer of MF. I was able to use the newborn diaper from birth to approximately 13 lbs. The fabric the tester was made from was awesome enough for me to order a custom "Little Boogie" One Sized pocket from Marie with the same print. Marie's diapers are nearly flawless, this mama can sew! She has a great option of offering two different one sized pockets.. the Big Boogie having a more generously cut pattern for bigger babies. Her pockets have a nice deep opening, reinforced with a flap to ensure that the insert stays in the pocket, and never touches the baby's skin. My little boogie had suede cloth inside, but she does offer minky as an option, which I would love to try!

My girls in a newborn AI2, and a Little Boogie OS Pocket

In this era of cloth diapering, there are so many talented mamas out there offering their hand-made diapers. Lots of them offer the same options, the same prints, sometimes even the same pricing! That makes choosing one over the other pretty difficult when searching for a WAHM diaper.. so to me, a lot of it will come down to customer service, and the willingness of the WAHM to make sure their customer is happy. I have to say, I would give Marie AND her diapers and A++. She's so sweet, she stands behind her product and she strives for excellent customer service. If you are looking for an affordable and well-made, hardworking diaper.. try a BoogaButt!

Stacy's take on BoogaButt
I think that Marie may be on to something! I really do! I love this addition to my little guy's stash. It is soft, trim, great fitting and work really well.

I think that BoogaButt's diaper is the trimmest minky inner diaper I have ever put on my baby's butt. I love the fit on him. The leg elastics are just right for a perfect fit on his skinny legs but relaxed enough to never leave any marks. The snap placement is great on the diaper. I love to have a diaper that he can get a great fit on. The snap placement make for no "in between fits." I love that BoogaButts offers 2 different sized OS diapers. I really have a hard time finding a great diaper that is not bulky to snap down to my guy's size. I love that I can put him in this little diaper with just a t-shirt on and go out and about. Her fabric choices are so cute! I have not seen a BoogaButt diaper that I have not feel in love with. I give BoogaButts two thumbs up!

GIVEAWAY DIAPER!!!!!

This is a one size pocket diaper, it has a cute cotton print on the outside, a hidden layer of PUL on the inside so no cover is needed, and a layer of minky on the inside. It has three settings of rise snaps and a number of settings across the tummy with overlapping tabs.
Size range for this AWESOME diaper is 10-35 lbs approximately.

A review by Naomi:
I love wool longies, especially now that the temperature is starting to drop. So I asked my good friend, Kathy from Cuddle Monkey, to make my daughter a pair. She has had some really awesome appliques on display on her facebook page, so I challenged her to create a sunflower applique for my daughter. She went above and beyond my expectations.
The longies are a soft cashmere, which a comfy high rise waistband. They look like they are soo comfortable.
Uploaded from the Photobucket iPhone App
The majority of the longies are made of a super soft
Cashmere. They look like they are sooo comfortable.

Let's talk looks. I mean, check out this applique. It is AMAZING. I couldn't be happier. I am a sunflower lover, so I love that these wool longies have a superior sunflower on the bum.
Uploaded from the Photobucket iPhone App
The applique is AMAZING!

And then Kathy went a step further in her amazingness. She added some leaf appliques on the legs. The leaf on the left side says "Liv," which is my daughter's nickname (her name is Alivia). I mean, how awesome does this look???
Uploaded from the Photobucket iPhone App
Look at how cute these leaf appliques are. The one on the
left says "Liv," which is my daughter's nickname.

Not only does Kathy make awesomeupcycled wool longies, but she also makes cloth wipes, wool soakers, wraps, slings, water-ring slings, ring slings, mei teis, wet bags, herbal compresses, shea butter and goat's milk lavender hand soap and memory blankets (she made one for my son that we just love).
Check out her facebook. She has monthly giveaways. https://www.facebook.com/pages/Cuddle-Monkey/123925554343688

Now, because Kathy is so awesome, she is giving away a Limited edition winter woolie with a snowflake design. The winner will be drawn at midnight Dec. 21. Post a comment with your child's measurements, including inseam, waist and pounds.

Naomi:

One of the things I like the most about my favorite diapers is that they are trim. I don't know why, but a trim diaper makes me soooo happy.
And the Fat Bottom Babies fitted diaper is probably the trimmest fitted diaper I've ever seen. My love for fitteds is fairly new. And this diaper made my love grow even more.
But the trimness of this diaper isn't even the best part! This diaper came with long snap-in cotton inserts. Actually, two inserts that snap together and then snap into the diaper. I mean, isn't that a cloth diapering mom's dream?? You can customize the absorbency. And even with the two inserts and the third smaller insert (yep, three inserts) in the diaper, it is still very trim.
I will have to find a creative way to come up with paypal for another Fat Bottom Babies fitted. ;-)
Expecting moms can also create their own private gift registries on the Fat Bottom Babies Web site. WAHM Tabatha Bell also sells cloth wipes, wet bags, pail liners and Booty Spray (which has an option to help fight yeast).

How cute is this print?
This is the diaper with all three inserts.

Jodi:

First, I just want to say what's there NOT to love about a diaper with the tag line 'Squishy Booty - Fat Bottom Babies'.... I have a chunky, shorty myself so this was a diaper destined to work well for us.

Lovely print! Fat Bottom Babies for my 2 year old.

The fitted is constructed with 5 layers cotton ,which is a snake-style soaker that folds to equal 20 layers of absorbency, 25 with doubler. An additional snap in matching doubler is also included. I will admit I was slightly concerned when prepping the fitted, that it may not be cut wide enough for MY fat bottomed baby! Oh no!.. I was surprised and delighted at how well it DID fit, and how trim it was, even with both soakers and the doubler in the fitted. Our first run with it was over night under wool longies. Success.. the fitted did its job. Because it is entirely constructed of cotton, its a diaper that washes clean with ease. I often worry that some of my fitteds will not get fully clean because of the way they are constructed, but this one passed the cleaning test with flying colors.

Awesome fit on a 3 month old!

I had zero issues using the same fitted on my youngest daughter. The 3 snap rise made it possible to adjust the diaper to the correct fit for a 2 year old and a 3 month old. Beautiful thing for a mama trying to fill her stash with diapers that can be passed on to younger siblings!

I am extremely pleased with my purchase from Fat Bottom Babies, and would love to try some of her other products, especially the chenille cloth wipes!

cut little Fat Bottom Baby fitted on a not so fat bottom
Stacy:
Price point:
Squishy Booty offers a Fat Bottom Babies fitted for $14, not too shabby! In this diaper, I found a great daytime fitted and long nap fix so I feel that it is very fairly priced for the versatility of the fat bottom fitted. The diaper comes with 2 snap in soakers and a lay in booster. I love a diaper with options! I can stuff it to the max for a long nap or only use one soaker for a super trim daytime fitted.
as daytime fitted, with one soaker in

Fit:
I have a very thin baby boy, as I have said before, so we struggle from time to time with fit so I was happy that I can get a good fit on him. When the diaper is fully stuffed, there were some gaps in the legs. Since I only fully stuff for naps (when he would not poop anyway) and he wears a cover, I don't find it to be an issue (I only mention it to give full review). When I took out one of the soakers, I was able to get a gap-free fit on his skinny little thighs. The rise is very adjustable, and I know that he will be able to sport his Fat Bottom Babies fitted from Squishy Booty until the day he potty trains.
Stretch to be big like brother.
Love how adjustable rise is on this diaper.
Performance:
I trust the Fat Bottom Babies fitted for a 3 hour nap or a car trip....enough said?  I stuffed fully for 3 hour nap, one that he actually slept on my chest for and no issues. In fact, I think I could have let him wear it with no cover as the outside of the fitted was dry.

Cons:
The only thing that is kind of a con would be that the elastics are not tight. Like I said, he has thin thighs but we are able to get a good fit on him.

Naomi's review:
I've turned into a diaper snob. I was once one of those moms who said "I prefer solid color diapers. I can match them to every item of clothing." But alas, my mind has changed. I love showing people my daughter's cute fluffy printed bum. And 123 Cloth Me allows me to do just that. Although the diaper is small compared to other one-size diapers, it works great for my petite daughter. She can fit in this diaper on the medium setting. Not bad for a 22-month-old. The only not-so-great thing I can say about the diaper is that the insert is too bulky. Once I replaced it with one of the extra inserts I had, I was more than pleased with the diaper. It fits well. It's a good quality diaper. For my daughter's custom, I picked a Winnie the Pooh print, which Laura matched perfectly with a white PUL. My now 4-year-old son's lovey was a stuffed Pooh Bear, so this print was special to us. And I was glad that she made the diaper look so amazing. We may have to keep this diaper even after my daughter potty trains. She can cloth diaper her dolls. ;-) My suggestions to make this diaper better? Make the insert less bulky and add hip snaps. Besides that, I love the design of this diaper.

Photobucket
I mean, look at how cute this print is!

It fits well.

It's a pretty trim diaper.

I don't even know how to describe the elastic, but I like it!

Jodi:

When searching for up-and-coming WAHM diaper makers, I came across a little facebook page called “123 Cloth Me”. I perused the photo albums and really loved the fabrics I saw, so I contacted Laura Behm, the lovely lady behind 123 Cloth Me. Before I had even received a diaper, I was so impressed with how professional and how nice Laura was... this was definitely a WAHM I wanted to do business with!

The 123 Cloth Me Diaper on my 2 year old!

The Same diaper on my almost 3 month old, 13 lber!

123 Cloth Me pocket diaper fits babies approximately 10-40lbs. The outer of the diaper I received was made from the most adorable forest animal print corduroy. Corduroy! I was finally going to be able to scratch off one of my “I want a diaper made of ..” list. Who doesn’t love corduroy?! And on an adorable diaper?! I was so excited! We placed an order for our diapers, and within a week or so, we had the diapers on hand! This mama works fast! And the quality of her diapers ARE NOT compromised by the quickness of her handiwork. The diaper arrived, and my first impression was how well made it appeared. Even stitching, nice elastic, no cosmetic flaws could be found. The inner is an off white panne, which has a stay dry quality to it, which I look for when I’m choosing a diaper. The insert is made of 5 layers of microfiber. I was initially worried about how wide the insert was, but once it was stuffed in the pocket and on the hiney, I found it to be just fine for the build of my daughter.

The diaper was laundered, and survived the initial wash beautifully. My 26 lbs girl is on the largest rise setting and two size snap settings in. The snaps are set at a good space, I was able to get a tight enough fit so there was no gapping across her tummy, and without leaving any red marks once the diaper was removed. The elastic around the legs was also nice and tight, but without leaving red marks. Hooray! I let the “maiden voyage” of the diaper go for a good 2.5 hour stretch. While my girl is not a heavy wetter, I will normally change her every hour to hour and a half just to keep her dry.
I have also been able to use the same diaper on my 3 month old (13lbs) and was able to achieve another beautiful fit on her as well!I was pleasantly surprised at how much the diaper held. The inner panne definitely did its job at keeping her skin dry while pulling the moisture through to the insert. The diaper has no leaked or wicked on us, and has held up in the wash. so I’m calling 123 Cloth Me diapers a WIN.

Stacy's review
123  Cloth Me really is a lovely diaper. I love her use of fabrics and how she puts them together. She was worked quickly and produced quality diapers that fit my skinny boy fabulously!
Bang for your buck?
YES! I can say that I would defiantly buy more diapers from 123 Cloth Me. For $16 you get a very nicely constructed diaper. You can add an insert for $1.

Nice fit on his thin little frame

Fit:
I like the fit on my little guy, the snap placement is perfect to insure a snug fit. He is 30 inches tall and the diaper is snapped down once, so I am sure he will wear this diaper until he is potty trained. I love that the legs are tight enough to ensure not leaks or blowouts but not so tight that there are any red marks on his little thighs. We do get a slight wing droop but we often do because of his super thin thighs. The droop was so minimal that I really don't see it as an issue, but felt that I do need to mention it. He wears this diaper every time it is clean, even in a large rotation this diaper is getting a workout!

Bum shot...I really love this print!

Performance:
I trust 123 Cloth Me diaper for a three hour nap. I also used this diaper through a bout of antibiotic stomach issues with no blowouts. I have not had one leak with this diaper, which is wonderful.
Cons:
The insert is bulky since it is turned and topstitched. I do use 123 Cloth Me insert when at home but when I want to put jeans on him, I have to put different insert in the diaper.

Love how this diaper fit him! Moves with him with no gaps.

To buy:
Laura was a dream to work with, and she’s so very accommodating.. her skills will speak for themselves as will the diapers. You can find her on facebook at http://www.facebook.com/123ClothMe, and on Hyena Cart at http://hyenacart.com/123ClothMe/, where she also offers some beautiful crocheted items.\

 Sunbaby Diapers
Review and giveaway!

Naomi's review:
When I first discovered Sunbaby diapers, they were only in the first revision. Since then, the diaper's creator has revised the diaper three times. And each revision has worked great for us. But her best diapers thus far are the 4.0s. The 4.0 has hip snap to keep the diapers from getting that pesky wing droop. And just recently, she has started making the 4.0 a little bigger.
These diapers are trim, soft, cute and affordable. And there are always cute new prints available, as well as the classic solid colors.
The inserts are nice and long, and these diapers are my "out running errands" diapers. I know I can trust them not to leak.
I love that the creator of these diapers is all about customer service. She thrives on feedback and loves to find ways to make her diapers even better. And that she has. The fourth revision, the 4.0, was given longer elastic and then eventually the made a little bigger.

Jodi's review:
From the moment I began to consider using cloth diapers, everyone was reccomending I look in to trying a “Sunbaby” diaper. And, from the moment I finally did try a Sunbaby, I have been nothing but pleased with the decision.  I appreciate the cost of them, the ever-changing line up of exclusive prints offered, the dedication of the woman behind the product and, of course, the diaper itself. I have been able to pay less than $5 a diaper that I am able to use on my 2-month-old AND my 23- month-old. The wait time for the diapers from placing an order to landing on my doorstep has been less than ideal, but it has not (and likely will not) keep me from going back and ordering at least one new one when the prints are introduced.
I was very pleased to see that the new print line up in August were made slightly larger than the previous set. As my oldest girl gets bigger, I was afraid of her not being able to wear the Sunbaby diapers for much longer (at least until she potty trains) because she was finally on the last snap.. but to my delight, she has moved in a snap on the newest sunbabys, enabling me to still use the same diapers on my 12 lber and my 26 lber.

Newest version on smallest setting on my newborn and the same diaper on the largest setting on my older daughter.

Stacy's review:
It took a little bit of convincing before I would try Sunbaby diapers. I thought that there was no way such an affordable diaper could be quality. I bought his first Sunbaby used from a local mama, and loved it! Since then I have acquired several more from each release as they became available.
My favorite print thus far!

Quality/cost:
Inexpensive does not equal poor quality in this case. I really wish I would have known that from the first day I decided to use cloth. I have had several different brands of diapers and must say that I love my Sunbaby diapers as much or more than some of my $20 diapers. I have nothing but good things to say about the quality of materials used to construct these diapers. Isn't saving money what attracts most mamas to cloth to begin with? I now suggest for newbies to build their initial stash by buying Sunbaby diapers.
I love that the newest prints run slightly larger. He is 30 inches and 21.5 lbs

Fit:
I have several of the older 4.0 diapers; they fit my thin baby boy really well. That being said I am so pleased that the newly released diapers are cut a little larger. My little guy is now 21 lbs and 30 inches. So we were moving up to the tallest setting on the rise, but no more! You know what that means? He can wear all of these awesome prints until he potty trains and I could not be happier! I love that the legs fit so well. His skinny little legs have no gaps around them in his Sunbaby diapers. Nor does he get red marks from the elastics.

A great fit on his not so chubby legs.

Performance:
I can sum it up in one word....lovely! My little monster has worn a sunbaby for nap and road trips with no leaks or issues at all. With our busy lifestyle, I have left a diaper on a little longer than I like to admit (like about 3 hrs) and his clothing would still be dry. Like I said, I love the performance of this diaper as much or more than my $20 diapers.
Some of my sunbaby stash

Print options:
Are you joking me? I am in cloth diaper heaven...There is an amazing amount of Sunbaby prints floating around out there. The mama behind Sunbaby releases new prints often. I love this because I can have such a variety in my stash while buying a diaper that I trust.
Cons:
Only one- if you buy a large amount of diapers at one time (like in a co-op), it can take weeks for you to get your diapers. This is not a reflection on the mama behind Sunbaby as she is fairly quick at sending package out, depending on work load. The extended delivery time is due to how our postal service handles large non-priority packages. Shipping is free so I can not complain too much.
